"Athlete: Regardless of how physically fit you are, and regardless of

what kinds of sports or games you play or don't play,

you are an athlete if you apply athletic essentials to your life."

- Mariah Burton Nelson

Nina Loarca

PT, DPT, SFMA, USA-W

Nina Loarca is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and her interest in the outpatient orthopedic physical therapy field began with a passion for sports and movement, while playing collegiate soccer in the Philippines and California.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology with a focus on Exercise Science, her interest in movement further developed as she provided personal training to a diverse demographic using knowledge from National Sports Conditioning Association (NSCA), Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and U.S.A. Weightlifting (USA-W). She continued to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University, and had the opportunity to gain solid orthopedic experience during clinical rotations at Nicholas Institute of Sports Medicine and Athletic Trauma (NISMAT), and NYU Langone Rehabilitation. She currently practices evidence-based treatments and stays current on relevant clinical studies. Her expertise are in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation. She has completed the Barbell Rehab Clinical Mentorship. She also specializes in pelvic floor health, and has completed courses through Herman & Wallace for Pelvic Function Level 1, Postpartum Rehabilitation, and Pregnancy/Postpartum for High Intensity Athletes.

In addition, she constantly strives to provide compassion and empathy to understand the individuality of each patient. She loves that she has the flexibility to spend time with her husband and two kids. In her free time she continues to enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and sports along with enjoying different cuisines (definitely a born and raised "foodie").
